    Condell is good on Islam-ism but otherwise he is, I fear, a recovering Roman Catholic and (you become like your enemy) he is also a Dawkinsite
    hater of monotheism. I can think of some good reasons to do that but am not sure that we are on the same page here. He thinks that the 'desert religions' have "made a desert of man's soul." I wonder where he got the term 'soul' from ? Not from Dawkins. Popular religion, like casual sex, has been the bearer of any number of pathologies. Without it, where would we have been ? On earth?

    Soul is not a religious concept and is not owned by religions. Only theist can make such a ridiculous assumption that they've invented souls.
