I'm going to answer the rhetorical question with which I closed my last post on the egregious Mark Serwotka.
The state sector unions and all branches of the the state, plus their media spokespersons in the BBC, are fully engaged in preemptive strikes not against cuts, but against decreases in the profligate rate of spending this government inherited from its predecessor.
In other words, they are all aware that the deficit spending of the Blair-Brown regime was a Ponzi scheme, and they are determined to keep it going long enough for all of them - as individuals - to cash in.
Let's hear it for collective inter-generational fairness and justice, courtesy of those who style themselves socialist and affect to despise the greed and shallow self interest of others.
