Peggy Watson - po-faced cow of the week

Peggy Watson is a Cambridge sociologist who writes on issues relating to the political transformation of Eastern Europe. She is fellow of Homerton College.

Can't guess why she condemns the young women MPs of the Czech Public Affairs party for flaunting their stuff in a calendar. As the WSJ comments, "women have reacted against the unglamorous trappings and enforced unisex treatment imposed by socialism. Even during the Communist era, women smuggled fashion magazines from the West that included patterns for stylish clothes, in large part because there was nothing like that available in shops."

And that just won't do, will it?

  1. I think she's rather fit (in a slightly dominatrix way).
