Having lost David Laws, one of their few stars, and after media darling Vince Cable quit as deputy leader, the Lib Dems have decided to replace him (Cable) with the leftist expenses sleaze Simon Hughes, a once-closet homo who posed as a hetero in order to defeat homosexual activist Peter Thatchell with such tasteful slogans as 'We already have a queen'.
All right! That'll keep the pink pounds coming and recover the party's standing in the integrity standings!
Admittedly the Lib Dems have a very shallow pool of MPs, but comb-over Hughes even looks like a school playground flasher. I guess the strain of acting grown-up has proved too much for them.
