For whom the bell tolls

The Observer reports a terse reply by Culture Secretary Jeremy Hunt to a parliamentary question by a Labour MP about TV news impartiality. Hunt replied:
We will take no lessons on impartiality from the opposition. There are two people responsible for impartiality in British broadcasting – the head of  OFCOM and the head of the BBC Trust. One [Ed Richards] is a former Labour councillor and the other [Michael Lyons] is a former Labour special adviser.
Both, be it said, jobsworth Labour apparatchiki who should have been sacked the day after the Coalition prised power from the cold but unfortunately not dead hands of Gordon Brown and his other sycophants.
