Boys in Black (part 4)

Still need convincing that we have been teetering on the edge of becoming a police state for some time?

Check out this story and accompanying video in the Guardian.

Then check out this story from 2004 in the South Wales Argus.

It seems likely that Mr Whatley's real offence was not failing to use his seat-belt, as alleged, but for previously having upheld his rights as a citizen in the face of a previous case of police brutality. His own story is deliciously absurd, but since when is it a crime to show no respect for officious plods? They had his vehicle and driving license details, so the pursuit and the smashing of his car windows was purely spiteful.

There is no chance that an "official investigation" by the perpetrating institution will establish whether his lèse majesté in 2004 was entered in the police computer, thus sparking the latest outrage when he once again refused to be cowed by the jack-booted thugs of the South Wales Police Violence Force.
