Pick of the April Fool stories

While conceding a considerable degree of nepotism, this story about Virgin Media using ferrets to maintain their cable network also appeals because it is so quintessentially English.

The reference to the Wind in the Willows is so spot-on. Escapism? Sure - but what other refuge is there from the sordid reality of modern Britain?
