Institutional cowardice

This story, about a fire chief being put on the mat for rescuing a dog, goes so precisely to the heart of what is contemptible about modern British society that comment should be superfluous.

  1. Nice quote from the dog owner: ‘Carrying out rescues is what firemen are on the job for. What are they supposed to do the next time there is a fire? Stand by and watch?’

If you punish those who show bravery and label it "reckless stupidity" you then feel much better about being a coward yourself.
